Wandering the rockpools of Barwon Bluff Marine Sanctuary, we’ll be guided by environmental educator, artist, and marine biologist, Sarah Murfitt, who will introduce us to the importance of intertidal zones and identify marine animals and plants that call the coastal area home.

The workshop will incorporate a creative exercise designed to deepen our curiosity and presence in place. Not about artistic instinct or ability, our creative outputs will be a reflection of our natural surrounds and the inspirations we find as a collective.

A combination of field observation, scientific identification, and creative expression, this experience is designed around the belief that art complements science (and vice versa).
