Join us for a camp down the coast and help us build an itinerary for a new Mappa experience.

BE A PART OF THE PROCESS

We’re trying something new — you’re invited to an experience which is still a work in progress. Together we’ll set up camp, explore new field sites, and cook our meals. It’ll be lowkey, slightly less polished, but there’ll still be things to learn and good community vibes.

CLAIM YOUR SPOT

WHO

You (hopefully!) and the Mappa crew. We’ll also be joined by one of our incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides, James Driscoll.

James is an earth scientist, geoscience educator, and climate advocate. He’s travelled the world for his work, completing field research in over 30 countries, and has a deep understanding of the rocks that make up Victoria’s coastline.

WHAT

A weekend camping with new friends plus the opportunity to learn about the more than 500 million years of history etched into the coastal landscape.

As we’re using this as an opportunity to test a new experience, it will be slightly less curated than some of our prior camps — we’ll set up camp together and all pitch in for meals. The time table will be pretty flexible, but we will time our field outings with low tide so we can make the most.
